1. How can I learn more about the best stores to shop online?
Use the ishopbyzip.com Store Ratings to find the right online store for your needs. Store Profiles assemble the most comprehensive, unbiased, and essential information about the performance of over 1500 online stores. From our surveys, we convert the collective experience of an online store's actual customers into the store ratings found at ishopbyzip.com. We combine these ratings with information about each store's features and services into Store Profiles to give you faster, easier shopping decisions.
 
2. How do I search for a product or store?
Stores can be re-rated for a variety of reasons, including:
  1. Type the name of the product or store that you would like to find in the search box at the top left-hand corner of most pages. Searching in the "Entire Marketplace" will give results from every matching category. To search in a specific category, select one from the dropdown menu in the search box and then click "Go!"
    Hint: Try to use the full name of the product or store for greater accuracy. The search field is NOT case-sensitive, so capitalization will not make a difference.
  2. Next, choose from a list of matching stores, categories, popular products, and all products based on the names you submitted.
  3. If you searched for a store, you may click on the store name to go directly to the store's homepage or you may view the store profile by clicking on the store rating.
  4. If you searched for a product, click on the product name to view a list of stores that carry it, store prices, product ratings and store ratings. You may re-sort this list by clicking the name above any column in the list.
  5. Once you have decided on the product and store, click the store's name to go to the store's home or product page.
  6. You may browse any department at ishopbyzip.com through the department list on the left-hand side of most pages or the tabs featured at the top of every page.
 
3. What if I can't find a specific product or store?
If you are unable to find a product or store, double-check the spelling, word choice and punctuation. While we attempt to cover a wide array of products and stores, some specialty items may not be available through our site.
If you have any questions about a specific store or product that you cannot locate using our search, please send us an email with the details. We will reply with any information we can to assist you.

 
4. How can I search for a store profile?
Type the name of the store into the search box and click on "Go!" or select a department from the menu on the left-hand side of most pages or the tabs featured at the top of any page, or click on "Store Ratings" from top of any page. To view information about a specific store, click the store rating next to the store name. Store Profiles contain the performance ratings (collected through ishopbyzip.com surveys from actual store customers), store features, return policy information and other services offered by that store.

 
5. What is the number of reviews?
The number of reviews is the total number of individual consumer reviews that ishopbyzip.com has collected for a particular store. The more people who have reviewed a store, the more statistically reliable the ratings are. For instance if 50,000+ people say a store is great in on-time delivery, it's a little different than if 3 people say so. (After all, the 3 people could be the storeowner's mom, dad and brother!)
Ishopbyzip.com does not consider anything less than 20 reviews in a 3-month period to be a statistically relevant number and therefore does not post scores for stores below this threshold of reviews. These stores are clearly designated as: "Not Yet Rated".

 
6. How can I rate an online store?
Click on any Store Report Card link (see below) and you will have an opportunity to "Give Feedback" to ishopbyzip regarding your purchases at the store.
Alternatively, every time you make a purchase at an online store look for the ishopbyzip.com survey invitation on the receipt page. Over 2,000 stores are participating in our program, so you should run into us somewhere! Simply click on that invitation and you'll be presented with the ishopbyzip.com survey. In the survey, you'll be asked to evaluate the store for the purchase you just made. If you do not see a survey invitation on a store's receipt page, this means that the store is not yet participating in our free Customer Certified survey program. We encourage you to ask the store to join the program and help us help all online buyers make more informed, confident decisions.

 
7. Where can I find a Store Report Card?
From any store listing on ishopbyzip.com, you can click on the Smiley Scale(tm) rating or on the number of reviews link and you will see its report card. Click on the Store Ratings tab to search directly for Store Report Cards and compare stores within a particular category side-by-side. Store Report Cards include the Store Rating (including the twelve quality ratings), customer reviews, key features and services offered, and important contact information.

 
8. How often are Store Ratings and Reviews updated?
Every day we gather additional feedback from customers. The ratings and reviews of Customer Certified stores are updated every week. Ishopbyzip.com Member Ratings are also collected continuously, but updated on a weekly basis.Z

 
9. Do stores pay to be listed in the Store Ratings section?
No. To maintain the highest possible levels of objectivity and independence in our ratings, we do not charge stores for evaluation or listing onishopbyzip.com. We are dedicated to providing consumers with unbiased information to make more informed and confident online buying decisions.
